Radon levels can change with the seasons, weather and conditions inside your home. A short-term test tells you about the period when the test was taken. It cannot show how levels change during the rest of the year.
Continuous monitoring helps you see those changes over time. With monthly reports and professional review, Triangle Radon Defense helps you understand what the information means and when a closer look may be useful.
You don't need a mitigation system to benefit. Whether your home already has a system or doesn't currently need one, monitoring helps you stay informed.

The EcoQube continuous radon monitor is the technology behind your membership. It uses power and Wi-Fi to transmit monitoring data. Triangle Radon Defense owns and maintains the equipment, so your membership is about the service, reports and support that come with it.
Our commitment to your home
Every monitored home receives an annual professional review by a certified radon professional. Sustained elevated levels may trigger an earlier review, so our team can evaluate the information and recommend next steps when needed.
Monitoring tracks radon levels. It does not reduce them and is separate from a mitigation system or mitigation warranty.
What equipment is used?
TRD Monitoring uses an EcoQube continuous radon monitor. The equipment remains the property of Triangle Radon Defense and is provided as part of the membership.
Does the monitor require Wi-Fi?
Yes. The EcoQube requires power and a Wi-Fi connection to transmit monitoring data and provide reporting features. Temporary power or internet interruptions generally do not require any action, but customers should contact us if there is an ongoing connectivity issue.
What reports will I receive?
All membership levels include continuous radon monitoring, monthly monitoring reports and an annual professional review of the monitoring data.
Can I see my radon levels myself?
The homeowner mobile app is included with TRD Monitor Plus and TRD Monitor Premier memberships. The TRD Monitor membership does not include homeowner app access.
What happens if my radon levels increase?
Triangle Radon Defense reviews monitoring information and can help you understand what the results mean and whether additional testing, evaluation or mitigation should be considered. Sustained elevated levels may trigger an earlier review rather than waiting for the annual review.
Does monitoring guarantee that my radon level will stay below a certain level?
No. Monitoring measures and tracks radon levels over time. It does not reduce radon levels and is separate from any radon mitigation system or mitigation warranty.
Do I own the EcoQube?
No. Triangle Radon Defense owns and maintains the monitoring equipment as part of the membership and may replace or exchange equipment when needed.
Do I need a radon mitigation system to enroll?
No. The Monitoring Membership can be used in homes with or without an existing radon mitigation system.
Why monitor continuously instead of relying on one radon test?
Radon levels can change over time and under different home and weather conditions. Continuous monitoring provides a broader picture of what is happening in the home than a single test taken during one period.
