Radon Mitigation Systems Photo Album: Radon System in Chapel Hill, NC
Jean purchased a home in Chapel Hill where elevated radon levels were identified during the pre-purchase inspection. Triangle Radon Defense was contacted by the realtor to provide a mitigation quote, and we conducted a detailed site visit to evaluate the structure and determine the most effective mitigation strategy.
The home’s foundation presented multiple challenges, consisting of two encapsulated crawl spaces and a large basement. Based on these conditions, we engineered a custom radon mitigation system utilizing three independent suction points to effectively depressurize each section of the foundation. These suction points were manifolded into a single high-performance fan to ensure balanced airflow and optimal system efficiency.
To accommodate the homeowner’s preference for minimal visual impact, all system components were consolidated and finished with an aesthetic exterior cover. The completed system delivers reliable radon reduction while maintaining the architectural appearance of the home, ensuring long-term protection for Jean and his family.
