Core drilling
Starting the core drilling on a monolithic slab.
Creating the suction pit
After core drilling, a suction pit is excavated to establish effective communication between the radon fan and the sub-slab area beneath the foundation. Due to the wide footings commonly found in monolithic slab construction, specialized tools are used to remove sufficient soil, rock, and debris to ensure proper air movement and effective sub-slab depressurization.
